“Carol of the Bells”

Based on a Ukrainian folk song, Carol of the Bells is a favorite Christmas carol of mine.  In 1922, when their country was fighting for its freedom, the Ukrainian National Chorus introduced it to the U.S. at Carnegie Hall.  Fifteen years later, American composer Peter Wilhousky wrote the familiar English lyrics to the song.
